Mike Allison, a native of Woodville, Texas, attended Texas A&M University where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets and Parsons Mounted Cavalry. He graduated with a BS in Kinesiology, and later earned his masters from Lamar University. He is happily married to his wife, Marilyn, who works as a CPA in Pearland, at Carbone and Allison Accounting Firm. They have three wonderful children, Jake (16), Josh (13) and Sarah (13).
Mike began his coaching career in 1997, at Pearland Jr. High East and moved up to Pearland High School three years later. Coach Allison was a part of Tony Heath's staff through the 2006 season, when the Oilers made it to their second State Semi-Final appearance. When Eric Wells became the head coach for Dawson, Mike was given the chance to be the Eagle's Defensive Coordinator. He was a part of the Dawson Football Staff that opened the school and helped develop the family culture on campus. During his time at Dawson, the Eagles experienced a lot of success on the field, making it to two State Semi-Final appearances.
In 2015, Coach Allison became the Head Football Coach at Clear Brook High School. This was an outstanding learning experience, and with the support of administration and help from the coaching staff, the culture and climate of the Wolverine program was changed. Coach Allison had a 16 and 16 record at Brook, making it to the third round of the playoffs in the 2016 season.
Coach Allison is now back home at Dawson, and looking forward to leading the Eagles to success, both on and off the field.
Ryan Silvertooth is a native of La Marque, Texas. He earned a B.S. degree in Kinesiology with a minor in English from Sam Houston State.
Silvertooth begins his 16th year coaching with five previous years at Pearland HS and has been with Dawson HS since its inception for all eleven years. He teaches P.E.
Silvertooth enjoys time with his wife, Tiffany, who is a registered nurse. They have two children, Brayden, age 11, and Mallory, age 3. Silvertooth also enjoys fishing, golf, and watching college football.
He was a member of the La Marque Cougars when they won the state championship in 1995. He was also on the 'Coogs' state runner-up teams in 1993 and 1994. Silvertooth is the Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator.
Gabe Grant is a native of Kingwood, Texas. He graduated from Sam Houston State University with a B.S. degree in Kinesiology and a Master's in Education from Lamar University. He begins his 16th year of coaching and his 11th year at Dawson.
Grant is married to wife, Leslie, who is the Dawson Diamond Drill Team Director. The couple have a daughter, Caroline, age 6. Grant enjoys playing golf and hanging out with family and friends.
He was co-captain of the 2002 Texas and Western Championship Rugby Team at Sam Houston State. He also graduated Magna Cum Laude from SHSU and completed his Master's with a 4.0 GPA from Lamar University. Grant is the academic coordinator/recruiting and teaches U.S. Government.
Levi Bandy is a native of Brady, Texas. He graduated from West Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's degree in Sports and Exercise Sciences and a Master's in Education Administration from Lamar University.
He has been coaching for nine years. He teaches principles of Business Law and entrepreneurship, and coaches track. He previously had coaching stints in Amarillo, Floydada, and Midland Lee.
He has a beautiful daughter, Mollie, age 3. Bandy enjoys golf, hunting, fishing, woodworking, spelunking, water and snow skiing.
Troy Myers is a native of Houston. Texas. He earned a B.A. degree in Mathematics and M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University. This is his eighth year of coaching football at Dawson HS. He is also in his third year as head track coach.
He is married to wife, Jessica, who is an English teacher at Dawson. Myers enjoys video games, golf, basketball, playing board games and working with the youth and young adult groups at church. He coaches the running backs.
Jared Cox is a native of Channelview, Texas. He graduated from The University of Texas with a B.S. in Sports Management. This is his eighth year at Dawson.
He is an inclusion teacher in Biology and IPC and coaches baseball.
He is married to wife, Lauren, who is a Speech Language Pathologist. Cox enjoys attending sporting events, traveling, playing video games, and weight training.
Mike Garcia is a native of Houston, Texas. He earned a degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He has been coaching for 11 years with a previous stop at Humble, and Baytown Sterling.
Garcia teaches Spanish. He is married to wife, Daisy. The couple have two children, Melanie Alyssa, and Elijah David.
Garcia enjoys B-B-Qing, golf, fixing cars, and watching football.
Kendall Ehrlich is a native of Pearland where he graduated from PHS in 2011. Ehrlich was an All-State linebacker for the Oilers and was on the 2010 Pearland state championship team. He continued his education and playing career for the Baylor Bears where he was a standout linebacker for four years.
Ehrlich received a B.S. degree in Health, Kinesiology, and Leisure Studies. He will also coach track at Dawson and teach World History.
He is married to wife, Malorie, who is a first-grade teacher in Dickinson. She was also an All-State volleyball player for Pearland and a four-year starter on the LSU volleyball team.
Ehrlich enjoys working out, playing with Sadie the dog, watching college football, and hanging out with family.
Kevin Pool is a native of Pearland and was a standout player for the Pearland Oilers.
He received a B.S. in History from Rice University. He has been coaching for sex years. He teaches World History and coaches girls soccer.
He is married to wife, Casey, who is a teacher at Cockrell Elementary. They have a newborn son, Kaleb. He enjoys lifting weights, watching sports with his son, and playing video games.
Steven Kenney is a native of Pearland, Texas. Kenney earned a B.S degree in Mathematics and a M.B.A. in Business Administration from Texas State University where he was a standout player. This is his 4th year coaching.Kenney teaches Chemistry and Food Science. He also coaches boys soccer.
Kenney is married to wife, Heather, who is in sales. He enjoys woodworking.
Derek Hufnagel is a native of Pearland, Texas. He earned a degree in Resource Environmental Studies and Coaching from Texas State University. He is the head freshman coach. He teaches SPED and also coaches soccer.
Hufnagel enjoys watching sports, going to concerts, fishing, and fantasy football. He has a beautiful dog named Harley.
Joe Betters is a native of Houston, Texas. He received B.S. and M.ED degrees from the University of Houston. He has been coaching for 22 years with a previous stops Huffman, Clear Lake, and Dickinson.
He teaches Pre-Calculus and Statistics. He also coaches baseball.
He enjoys playing golf and collecting baseball cards.
Tate Gresham is a native of Pasadena, Texas. He earned a B.S. Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at Austin and was also a preferred walk-on for the Longhorns football team. This will be his first year of coaching.
Gresham will be teaching Economics and Government.
He enjoys hunting, fishing, relaxing at KS ranch, golfing, watching college football and playing baseball in a Houston Men's league. His favorite vacation place is the Frio River in Concan, Texas.
Tate Riley is a native of Abernathy, Texas. He attended Texas Tech University where he earned a B.S. degree in Exercise and Sports Sciences. He formerly coached at Floydada, Alvin, and Pearland. He also coaches basketball and teaches World Geography.
Riley is married to wife, Nicole, who is a Speech Therapist at CCISD. They have an 18-month-old son, Wes. Riley enjoys playing golf, fishing, and spending time with family.
Chris Shaddock is the head athletic trainer for Dawson High School. A native of Humble, Texas, Shaddock graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in Kinesiology. He was an assistant trainer for Pearland High School prior to the opening of Dawson HS.He previously served at Bryan and Humble High Schools.
Shaddock is married to wife, Whitney, and they are the proud parents of son Grady, age 8, and daughter Emerson, age 4.
Shaddock enjoys long walks on the beach, deep conversation, holding hands, romance novels, pruning the garden, playing with his kids, and piggy-back rides.
Gretchen Carter is a native of Alma, Kansas. She received a B.S. degree in Exercise Science/Athletic Training from Witchita State University and a Master's in Education from the University of Tulsa. Carter was previously at Carson-Newman College and most recently at the University of Tulsa. She is in her 4th year at Dawson.
Carter is married to husband, Shannon, who is a Dawson football coach. They have a daughter, Kinley, age 2. Carter enjoys baking and all activities associated with the mountains as well as spending time with family.
Roderick Williams is a native of Denison, Texas. he received a B.S. degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences and is currently working on a Master's in Sport Management at Liberty University. He has been an athletic trainer for eight years and teaches Sports Medicine/Athletic Training.
He is married to wife, Samantha, who is an Account Manager for Paradigm Partners Corporate Tax Consultants. They have one child, Addison Janae, age 1. Williams enjoys reading, camping, golf and exercising. He is also an Eagle Scout, was an athletic intern for the Carolina Panthers, and worked with Bob Knight at Texas Tech.
